Terms of Service

These terms explain what the platform does, what riders and drivers agree to, and how fares and settlements work.

Terms of Service

DashBolt operates a marketplace that connects riders who need transport or delivery with independent drivers who offer to perform that trip. We are not the transport provider. The driver who accepts your trip is an independent operator responsible for the vehicle and the journey.

Fares are set by the driver's offer and accepted by the rider before the trip begins. The agreed price is what the rider pays in cash at the end of the trip, save for adjustments recorded in the app such as extra stops or waiting time, which are itemised in the fare breakdown.

Riders must provide accurate pickup and destination information, be present at the pickup point, and pay the agreed fare in cash on completion. Abusive conduct, fraudulent trip requests or non-payment may result in suspension or removal from the platform.

Drivers must hold a valid unendorsed South African driver's licence, be at least 18 years of age, keep their vehicle roadworthy and licensed, and maintain accurate documentation on the platform. Drivers confirm cash received for each completed trip and settle the platform commission — currently 30% of daily cash collected — by the stated deadline via the payment link generated in the app.

Missing a settlement deadline results in an automatic seven-day suspension on the first occasion. A second missed deadline flags the account for permanent removal, subject to final review by a platform administrator. Administrators may reverse a strike where a genuine payment failure is established, and every reversal is logged.

Cancellations, no-shows and disputes are handled under the published cancellation policy and dispute process, which are linked from every trip screen.

We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where safety is at risk, or where required by law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
