About us
A marketplace, not a meter
DashBolt connects riders and drivers directly. Riders describe the trip, drivers offer a price, and the rider decides. Nothing is hidden behind an algorithm neither side can see.
What we do
We operate a rides and deliveries marketplace for South African cities. A rider posts a trip request with a pickup point and destination. Verified drivers nearby see the request and submit an offer with their price and how long they'll take to arrive. The rider reviews the driver's name, photo, vehicle, licence plate and rating, then chooses.
How payment works
Riders pay cash directly to the driver at the end of the trip, at the price that was agreed before departure. Drivers confirm the amount received in the app, which builds their daily takings record. At the end of each day the platform's 30% share is settled by card through an automatically generated payment link.
How we approach safety
No driver can accept work before an administrator has reviewed their South African ID or passport, driver's licence, vehicle registration, proof of address and vehicle photos. Drivers give explicit consent to a background and criminal record check during sign-up. Approved drivers carry a Verified Driver badge, and riders can share live trip status with a contact of their choosing from the trip screen.
Where we are today
The platform is in active build. Before live operation with paying riders we are completing business registration, the e-hailing operating permit for each target municipality, and a POPIA-compliant review of how we store identity documents, addresses and location data.
